Auto Accident Chiropractic in Bellingham

Book Your Health Assessment

Having a health assessment done right after an auto accident is important.  Whiplash, neck pain and back injury can occur, and even mild symptoms can be evidence of underlying problems that need to be addressed. Chiropractic is one of the only specialties specifically designed to address your injury or trauma site. Permanent injuries occur in crashes that surgery cannot correct.

Can Chiropractors Help After a Car Accident?

Examining patient
What many people don’t realize is that car crashes essentially cause injury to the nervous system. Of course, there is damage and inflammation to the tissues, but the major injury is to the nervous system. This is why so many people don’t see symptoms right away, and then, months later, they’re unable to concentrate, they develop gastrointestinal issues, or their athletic performance decreases. Chiropractic specifically removes interferences to the nervous system, making it the best approach to treating victims of car accidents.

We Work With Insurance Companies & Personal Injury Attorneys

In most cases, your insurance company will pay for your chiropractic care following an auto accident. To maximize your coverage, Noble Chiropractic will work with your insurance company. We also work with most personal injury lawyers to ensure you get the medical care you need, without having to pay out of pocket for medical expenses.

How long is the initial appointment, and what should I bring to the appointment?

The first visit is typically 45 minutes. For the purpose of billing for Personal Injury cases, we need a claim number, the name and phone number of the adjuster and the company.
How long does it take to recover from an auto accident?
This is an open-ended question. We tend to think that car accidents are underestimated for the amount of potential damage. Often function can be altered beyond just soft tissue being injured. Functional changes tend to come a bit later. That said, healing can be anywhere from two months to a full year to recover.
Do you take X-rays or MRIs?
Dr. Noble will refer out for these if needed. If after a short bit of care the patient is not progressing, then we look toward imaging to see if there is anything we are not seeing that could be holding up progress.
Do you bill Automobile Insurance directly?
Yes, we are able to bill your auto insurance if you have Personal Injury Protection (PIP) as part of your auto insurance plan.
Do you recommend any treatments other than chiropractic care, and are they offered in your clinic?
Yes, Dr. Noble recommends other treatments, such as massage or structural work, acupuncture and physical therapy. Please note that we do not offer these services in our clinic.

We can’t estimate the time it will take to restore your body and nervous system until we’ve done a complete evaluation. There are many variables, including the severity of your injuries, how long it has been since the accident, and your overall health prior to the accident. Regardless, our unique approach to care will provide the functional changes you need as efficiently as possible. Our goal is to make lasting changes in your neural patterns to create optimal function throughout your body, so you don’t have to keep coming back for maintenance care forever.
